Large Egg Collection Information
 

This collection consists of designs on emu, rhea and ostrich eggs.  This group has lacing, etching and carving because of the thickness of their shells.  These eggs take a great deal of time because of the contours and shaping possibilities.  Some of the areas are also polished with different stone grits to achieve smoothness and shine.  Color differences in the layers of the emu egg give it added dimension.
